The_Spirit_of_Ecstacy                          Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Does the insurance on your Rolls-Royce cover it to be used as a wedding Car?

A. Yes, my Rolls is covered for weddings whether it's for the bride, groom, ushers, best
man all any other member of the wedding party.

Q. Is your Rolls-Royce properly maintained?

A. My Rolls Royce is carefully looked after by a fully qualified Rolls-Royce  and Bentley
technician who is very highly regarded by Rolls-Royce owners, even working on cars
abroad when necessary and delivering lectures to the Wessex Section of the Rolls-
Royce  Entusiasts' Club.  He has had my Rolls-Royce in his care for many years now, both
for its previous owner and me.  He services it every year (which is about every 3,000
miles and carries out any maintenance which is required between services.

Q. What happens if your Rolls breaks down, is involved in an accident or is stolen either on the day of my
wedding or very close to it?

A. According to the manufacturers, a Rolls-Royce never breaks down although they have been known to 'Fail to Proceed'!  Well, we live in
the real world where, the best laid plans of mice and men ... can  !  In my early days, I was booked at the last minute
because the groom's car (a BMW) had been involved in an accident.  The groom actually said, having travelled in the Rolls, that
'Ithadhappened for the best. Very recently (June 2010) I was booked by the groom when, just days before the wedding, the bride's car
(a vintage London taxi-cab) couldn't be used because its big-ends had gone.  However, a similar replacement car was sourced as a
result of me putting the groom in touch with the owner. Often, wedding cars are owned by enthusiasts like myself and we do
look out for each other! So, should the worst happen, and given there was time, I would do my best to find a similar car or, to refund
all of the hire fee so that you could make your own arrangement should you so desire.  However, any professional owner would always
advise that you do have a back-up car (maybe belonging to a neighbour) to allow for the minimal risk of last-minute car problems.  I do
of course, take every precaution including having full AA membership and carrying a professional booster pack in the car to safe-
guard against any winter battery problems - this is similar to the ones carried by AA patrols!

Q. What do I get for my money?

A. The pre-agreed hire fee allows you to have the exclusive use of my chauffeur driven Rolls-Royce for up to four hours and 40 mile (time
and mileage are calculated base-base).  Should the time and/or the mileage exceed to allowances slightly than there will be no extra        charge. However, should you wish to have the Rolls for a much longer period and/or wish to travel a much greater distance, then the
fee will be increased.  An example of this is an Asian Wedding, which usually lasts all day.  However, the hire fee will be what you were
quoted when you booked and will only increase should your initial time/mileage increase significantly after you have booked.

Q. I was a   at a friend's wedding recently and the wedding car was driven by a man who was not in typical  a chauffeur's uniform.  He
was dressed in a blue blazer, light grey trousers and a white shirt bright and floral patterned tie.  Also, he was not wearing a cap.  Do
you wear uniform and, if so, what does it comprise?

A.  Absolutely yes!  Whether it's me or one of my relief drivers the uniform is as follows:  Black or charcoal jacket and trousers with a
matching genuine chauffeur's cap complete with cockade ( that's the cap badge worn by chauffeurs) with a freshly laundered white
shirt and black leather shoes. You will have the choice of either a black or a silver tie or, even a coloured to go with your colour-
scheme; in recent weeks, I have been asked to wear black, silver, pink, pale blue and purple and, if M & S have the colour you
want in a particular range, I will buy one and there will be no additional charge to you!

Q.  Does the hire fee include the car's decorations?

A.  Yes.  The Rolls will be decorated with the traditional V-shaped ribbon and (unless not required) matching bows on each of the front
door handles and at the top of the famous radiator grill.  A floral arrangement of white and ivory silk flowers and artificial greenery
will be placed on the rear parcel shelf.

Q.  Can you provide ribbons and bows of any colour?

A.  Yes, well almost any colour,  although I always hold a good stock of white and ivory ribbons
and bows (together with a good selection of coloured ribbons), I can obtain most colours and so far, the Rolls has been decorated in

white, ivory, burgundy, gold, chocolate, silver and purple and, I have to say, it looked fantastic no matter what the colour was.  I

have in stock pink and blue ribbons and bows for weddings which are happening soon (September 2010).

Q.  Do I have to come to you or can I complete the entire transaction on-line?

A.  No, you don't have to come to me although I do like showing off my Rolls!  I guess about 50% of my clients don't see the Rolls until their
special day and I have never had any thing other than compliments! Please see my testimonials both on this site and on my main site

www.weddingcarsinhampshire.co.uk
- I think the one from the new  whose dad booked the Rolls as a surprise will leaveyou in no doubt!
To book on line all you need to do, having checked that the car is available, is to email me saying that you want to book it. will then
email you a reply to which I will attach a letter of confirmation which will confirm price, details of wedding and
other information; a copy of the contract and a copy of the Arrangements for the Wedding document You simply completed these
documents and return them to me. On receipt, I will counter-sign the contract and email it back to you.

Q.  Do I pay at this stage?

A.  Yes.  At this stage you need to pay £60 in respect of the booking fee. This amount is non-returnable, so please be certain that my
beautiful Rolls-Royce is what you really want for your bridal carriage -there are many many more vehicles (most of them inferior and            frequently more expensive!)  You can either send me a cheque, pay by Pay Pal or by internet banking. Obviously if you are posting a
cheque, you can post me the completed forms at the same time.

Q.  When do I pay the balance?

A.  The balance of the hire fee need to be paid one calendar month before the wedding and it can be paid my the same method as you paid
the booking fee.  However, should you elect to pay the balance by Pay Pal (which means you can use either a debit or a credit          card  then you will need to add £5 to the total amount in respect of the charge to me which is levied by Pay Pal.

Q.  Are there really any advantages to hiring a 'modern' Roll-Royce rather than a vintage or classic one?

A.  Well, that really is a matter of personal preference, but so long as it's a Rolls or a Bentley (and not a tired old car that hasn't had
loads of TLC) then, for the discerning bride it doesn't really matter!  However, the modern Rolls/Bentley is probably a more enjoyable
ride than its older sibling!  For example, my rolls is fitted with ABS, PAS, Fuel Injection and a twin-level air conditioning system which
could power 30 domestic refrigerators! And, only last week (September 2010) I had the system overhaulled at a cost of £350+!!)

Q. Is the car fitted with safety belts and does the bride have to wear one?

A. My Rolls is fitted with 4 inertia lap/diagonal safety belts and a lap strap for a passenger using the middle rear seat and yes sorry, even
the bride must wear a belt if she wants to avoid falling foul of the law. However, it would be a pretty horrid policeman who booked a
    bride!

IMPORTANT:  Because I do not have Pop 3, it is not possible to email me by clicking on the the email address above. If you wish to email, it is necessary to create a new email from your address.
